Atlantis - LEGO Fantasy Camp

Atlantis is offering a 5-day Lego Fantasy Camp this summer as part of the new Atlantis Kids Adventures (AKA).

For $425, children 6-12 can attend one of the following sessions:
-July 12-16, 2010
-July 19-23, 2010
-July 26-30, 2010

The package includes:

* LEGO Master Builder Activities
* LEGO T-shirt and Backpack
* Shallow Water Dolphin Interaction
* Daily Lunch
* Club Rush and Atlantis Speedway Track Passes

The Shallow Water Interaction at Dolphin Cay generally costs about $130 per person, so if your children are interested in LEGO, they'll probably enjoy this camp.

Sighting of a Mother Whale and Calf off Paradise Island

From the Tribune:

Bahamian boaters were treated to an unusual and exciting sight last weekend as a mother whale and her calf made their way past Paradise Island.

The aquatic mammals were spotted by some intrepid boaters who say they have been waiting all their life to see a whale in the wild.

It is speculated that the whale and her calf were humpbacks, known to migrate to tropical or sub-tropical waters to breed, before returning north to polar waters to feed
